General Assistant – Domestic

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic General Assistant (Domestic) to join our dedicated team. You will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, some of whom are living with dementia. You will also support the kitchen or laundry teams as required.
Key Responsibilities:

Clean designated areas thoroughly and consistently to high hygiene standards
-
Use and store cleaning equipment safely and correctly
-
Report any faults or issues with equipment
-
Carry out regular deep-cleaning and spring-cleaning tasks
-
Provide general assistance in the kitchen or laundry as needed (with full training)

Ensure health & safety and COSHH regulations are followed at all times
What We’re Looking For:

Good communication skills and a caring, respectful attitude
-
Experience or interest in working with older people
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-
Willingness to work in a Christian ethos care home and respect its values
-
Ability to manage time, prioritise tasks, and maintain high standards
-
Good attendance record and a smart, professional appearance
-
Understanding of COSHH or willingness to be trained
-
Flexibility and readiness to support across departments if needed
